FRICODA’s Outreach Mission to Good Shepherd Orphanage Abangoh

At FRICODA, our commitment to fostering community development and spreading friendship knows no bounds. That’s why, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, we were honored to collaborate with our partners at the Beacon of Light Association (BeLA) on a deeply meaningful outreach initiative to the Good Shepherd Orphanage in Abangoh, Bamenda.

As we embarked on our journey to the orphanage, our hearts brimmed with anticipation and determination to make a positive impact in the lives of the children. Laden with essential supplies such as blankets, mosquito nets, buckets, bathing utensils, bags of rice, cartons of soap, and more, we knew that every item carried symbolized a beacon of hope for those in need.

Arriving at the orphanage, we were greeted by the resilient spirits of the children, whose smiles lit up the surroundings with warmth and resilience. Setting up stations for distribution, we ensured that each child received the necessary provisions, but our mission went beyond mere material assistance.

Engaging with the children, we listened to their stories, shared laughter, and played games together. In those moments, bonds of friendship were formed, transcending the barriers of circumstance and adversity. The communal meal we shared further strengthened these connections, reminding us of the power of unity and solidarity in fostering positive change.

Our outreach efforts did not go unnoticed. Through our collaboration with BeLA and the support of our community, we were able to inspire others to join us in our mission of compassion and empowerment. The impact of our collective actions reverberated far beyond the confines of the orphanage, igniting a ripple effect of kindness and goodwill throughout the community.

As we bid farewell to the children of Good Shepherd Orphanage, we carried with us a profound sense of gratitude and fulfillment.
